Rosalia
Rosalia Vila is the Spanish pop and flamenco vocalist. From her teens Rosalia Vila has been active in pop music as well as flamenco. She also explores other categories like hip-hop and Trap. The flamenco guitar player Pepe habichuela has described her voice as delicate and sharp but having the grit of more mature singers. Following her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned the singer a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist The follow-up album she released in 2018 El Mal Querer was a major critical and commercial breakthrough making it to the top of the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart and later winning a Grammy. The single La Fama featuring the Weeknd first appeared in 2021. Motomami was her third full-length album. It was a collection of collaborations music writing with several artists and producers, including Cory Henry. The album was released in March 2022, following the appearance of the track Chicken Teriyaki on Saturday Night Live. Rosalia has been the only Spanish singer to be the only solo performer on the program. As well as winning three more Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia was also the very first female to be awarded this award twice. Latin Album of the Year twice.
